“This land is your land, this land is my land, from the Redwood Forest to the Gulfstream waters-this land was made for you and me!" America is covered with miles and miles of interstates, highways and byways. And, for those who love to load up the family vehicle and hit the road, there is nothing more enjoyable than taking off on the next new traveling adventure.
With her vast rolling plains of the Midwest to the towering trees of the West coast, historic trails like the Appalachian to impressive sites like Stone Mountain, winding country road and fast paced traffic packed beltways, America is as diverse in her topography as she is in her personalities. Consequently, the dedicated traveler is sure to have their own personal list of favorite locations and “must see" attractions. These locations can be reached by air or by land and with relative ease-whatever your mode of transportation. And whether you thrive on the excitement of the city or luxuriate in the peace of the countryside, you are certain to find your perfect place(s) for pleasure somewhere within America’s borders. However, if you are just beginning to create your own list of “must see" locations, you may need a little help. Here are a few, in no particular order, to get you started.

1. Niagara Falls- See these absolutely amazing and powerful cascades as they tumble at a rate of six million cubic feet of water over the gorge every minute. The Falls- both the American and the Canadian side- have astounded and delighted guests for decades. Other must see New York locations include Ground Zero and Ellis Island.
2. The Grand Canyon- If you are going to be in heading toward the American West then plan to spend a few days in the Grand Canyon region. As you watch the sunrise or set over the Grand Canyon, you will be inspired by the peace and beauty of all the delights of nature. Of course, be sure you take some time to traverse the Grand Canyon Skywalk or take a helicopter ride so you can get a bird’s eye view of this magnificent region.
3. Monticello, Virginia- Thomas Jefferson is one of America’s Founding Fathers, he was also an inventor who was far ahead of his time. At Monticello, you can see family artifacts, documents and many of his inventions and get a better appreciation for our third president.

4. Colonial Williamsburg, VA- If you are planning on being in Virginia for a few days, then make sure you visit Williamsburg. From historic homes with costumed guides to nearby Busch Gardens, this is an area sure to delight guest of every age.
5. Yellowstone National Park- Take at least a week and explore Yellowstone! From Old Faithful to wintertime adventures where skiing, snowmobiling, and even partially frozen waterfalls are the norm, YNP is a place where there is always something going on. You can campout, go on nature hikes, learn about nature conservation and see numerous animals such as moose, elk, eagles and others in their natural habitat.
Hit the roads and start discovering this beautiful country. After all, America is truly a land for everyone. Don’t miss out on any opportunity to visit her many locations and cities. You will find that even if you thought you knew all there was to know about a place, that experiencing it in person is better that you can imagine.
